DRAM - Dynamic Random Access Memory

Unlike SRAM, data must be written back after being read.

Access time - time between when a read is requested and the
desired word arrives

Cycle time - minimum time between requests to memory

Row Access Strobe (RAS) - half the address is sent first here

Column Access Strobe (RAS) - next half of the address is sent
