CS doctoral student Teng Wang publishes in the 2016 Supercomputing Conference
Teng Wang, a doctoral student from the Department of Computer Science at Florida State University has published a full paper as part of the prestigious Supercomputing conference, to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah in November 2016. In his paper titled “An Ephemeral Burst-Buffer File System for Scientific Applications” Teng has designed an ephemeral Burst Buffer File System (BurstFS) that supports scalable and efficient aggregation of I/O bandwidth from burst buffers while having the same life cycle as a batch-submitted job. Teng has performed this research in collaboration with his advisor Dr. Weikuan Yu and researchers from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
